IT'S THE GESTURE THAT COUNTS

Every gesture counts.
Together, let's act for Africa's children.

A donation, a signature, a shared message, a commitment: everyone can help improve a child's life.

Initiated by Roger Milla, a world football legend, the international campaign « IT'S THE GESTURE THAT COUNTS » brings together individuals, associations, sports clubs, businesses and institutions around three priorities: fighting noma, improving access to clean water and advancing the Roger Milla Centre of Excellence hospital project in Cameroon.

Our ambition is to turn solidarity into practical action through opportunities for everyone to contribute and lasting partnerships.

Three causes, one shared commitment

Fight noma

Raising awareness of noma, supporting prevention and helping improve access to care are central to our campaign. We aim to support early detection, referrals to appropriate healthcare services and ongoing support for children living with the disease's consequences.

The global « Save Children from Noma petition brings these priorities to governments, health institutions and international partners. With the ambition of gathering one billion signaturesit calls for stronger prevention, free access to care and protection of the dignity of affected children.

Improve access to clean water

Reliable access to clean water in a school or village can transform daily life for children and their families.

The Roger Milla Program seeks partners to develop sustainable water facilities suited to local needs. This approach combines installation with maintenance and management so that communities can continue to access clean water over time.

Advance the hospital project

The Roger Milla Centre of Excellence is a proposed hospital project in the Yaoundé-Nsimalen area of Cameroon, designed to strengthen access to specialist healthcare and maxillofacial and reconstructive surgery.

One of its ambitions is to provide free care for children from across Africa affected by the consequences of noma and facial or congenital conditions.

The project will need to progress through feasibility studies, the development of its clinical programme and cooperation with public authorities and partners. Supporting this work means helping prepare a hospital that meets patients' needs and can operate sustainably for the teams caring for them.
