A raised red card. A shared message. A global effort to raise awareness of noma and support access to care.

Initiated by Roger Millathe global " Carton rouge au Noma " campaign brings together people who want to stand alongside children affected by the disease and their families.

Our ambition is to raise awareness, encourage prevention and unite voices calling for better access to care

Why a red card?

On a football pitch, the red card is a signal everyone understands.

We are turning it into a symbol of solidarity. Raising it means drawing attention to the children concerned, recognising the difficulties their families face and calling for their needs to be heard.

This gesture is an invitation to go further: learn about the cause, talk about it, sign the petition or offer your help.

Children at the heart of the campaign

Behind the word "noma" are children growing up, parents searching for help and families who need support.

A child is never defined by a disease or by their face. Every child has a personality, friends, interests and dreams.

The campaign seeks to bring these needs to public attention respectfully, protecting the dignity and privacy of those concerned.

Three objectives to move forward together

Raise awareness

Share accessible, respectful information so that more people discover noma and understand why collective action matters.

Support prevention and access to care

Speak up for prevention, referral to qualified professionals and support for children and their families.

Build lasting solidarity

Bring together the public, associations, professionals and the football community around practical initiatives, with follow-up on every proposal.

How can you take part?

1. Sign the petition

Add your voice to a collective appeal to strengthen prevention, access to care and support for people affected by noma.

A signature does not replace healthcare action. It can support advocacy and help bring this cause to the attention of decision-makers.

2. Raise a red card

Take a photo or record a short video holding a red card. Explain why you are joining the campaign and invite others to participate.

You can accompany your post with this message:

"I'm giving noma a red card.
Together with Roger Milla, let's team up for children.
Sign the petition and share the message."

3. Spread the message

Share the campaign with your friends, family, association, business or sporting community.

A shared message can start a conversation and inspire someone else to get involved.

4. Offer your help

Translation, communications, content creation, expertise, organising an initiative or making an introduction: everyone can contribute according to their skills and availability.

Tell us about your proposal. A designated contact person will explore the next steps with you.

Clubs, players and supporters: join the team

Football can carry this message across borders.

We invite players, clubs, football associations and supporters' groups to explore ways to participate: a video message, social media coverage, a local initiative or a stadium awareness activity.

Each activity will be prepared with the relevant organisers. Partners and events will be announced as they are confirmed.

Following through on the campaign

We aim to report on initiatives delivered, proposals received and next steps.

Announced activities will be distinguished from completed actions, and prospective partnerships from agreements actually secured.
