Support Access to Safe Drinking Water

Water to learn, grow
and live healthier lives

In many communities, obtaining safe drinking water takes considerable time and effort. For children, the absence of a reliable water source at school or close to home makes everyday life, hygiene and education more difficult.

The Roger Milla Program aims to support access to safe drinking water in schools and communities across Africa. Our goal is to work with local partners on solutions that meet each community's needs and can be maintained over time.

What your support could make possible

Depending on the needs identified locally, a project could include a borehole, a pumping system, a storage tank and water distribution points. Planning must also account for equipment maintenance and the involvement of the people who will use it.

Before work begins, the availability and quality of the water must be assessed, a suitable site selected, a budget prepared and responsibility for managing the water point agreed. The Roger Milla Program will share the projects selected and their progress so supporters can see how funds are being used.

Help move a first project forward

Your donation can contribute to preliminary studies and, as the supported project progresses, to construction and maintenance. You can also help by sharing this initiative or contributing technical expertise.

One gesture for water can make a difference to an entire school.
